approachable and caring

I have a breadth of experience, having worked with families, young people and in the field of mental health for twenty years. I am a warm and approachable person and have expertise in building relationships.  Starting therapy can be difficult and I am able to support you with this process.

I offer Gestalt Psychotherapy which encourages a new level of awareness and understanding of how experiences – past and present – are impacting you now. This exploration, within the context of a safe therapeutic relationship, can enable  you to achieve understanding and growth. I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing). This is a trauma focused therapy, which in conjunction with psychotherapy  can explore and potentially overcome the debilitating symptoms of trauma – https://emdr-europe.org

I began training in Gestalt Psychotherapy in the Humanistic School at The Metanonia Institute fourteen years ago. I am a tutor at Metanoia and an examiner for both the Humanistic and Gestalt Department.  I support my practice through regular training and supervision. I am a member of the professional body for Psychotherapists UKCP and a member of EMDR UK.
